OUR STAFF

I started dancing through friends many years ago, now I dance All styles of Salsa and Kizomba.

I am based in London where I co-run the Sweetlead Salsa Club in North London, I’m also lucky enough to get to teach nationally and internationally.

My top tip for being a better dancer is to learn always! Spend more time really understanding the basics and less trying to be like somebody else.

My favourite thing about a Viva Mallorca is the relaxed friendly atmosphere. 😄

I can’t exactly remember when I first started dancing – it was some time in the mid to late 90’s.  I ended up in Salsa completely by accident when we asked for nearest ‘nightclub’ after going for a meal with friends.   I was just blown away by the sight of all these people dancing in pairs to Latin music.  I kept asking ‘how do they know what to do?’. I found out they had lessons there before the club night and the rest is history!

I dance all the main styles of salsa – Cuban, cross body on 1, cross body on 2 (most variations) – as well as Cha Cha and Kizomba.

We are based in Finchley in North London where we run weekly cross body on 1 salsa classes as well as ad hoc workshops and bootcamps in kizomba, cha cha, on 2 intros, salsa technique etc.  We also run some Sunday afternoon socials and some Saturday night socials.  You can also find us guest teaching for other promoters around the country.

My top tip for being a better dancer is to focus on what you FEEL like, rather than on what you LOOK like.

My favourite thing about Viva Mallorca is the beautiful location and chilled out vibe, there’s noting like it!
