FAQs
Is This Holiday For Me?
Do I need to be an experienced dancer?
No, Viva Mallorca is suitable for people of all levels of dance. We offer a wide range of classes and workshops from complete beginners to advanced.
Is it compulsory to do the lessons?
No, you can attend as many or as few classes as you like. You may prefer to enjoy an afternoon at the beach, by the pool or have a wonder around the local shops.
I am travelling alone, do you have any advice?
We love welcoming solo travellers to our holidays and seeing them make new friends. Before you travel, be sure to join the Viva Crete Facebook event page where you can meet other travellers and arrange shared transfers. Single rooms are available however, we can arrange a room share for you and find this is a great way to meet your first friend. We understand that joining a large group solo can be a little unnerving so our best piece of advice would be to get involved in as many classes and activities as you can. We have very warm and friendly staff and teachers in resort who are always happy to join you at meal times and get you up on the dance floor during socials.
Do I need a dance partner?
No, lots of our guests travel alone, you will find plenty of people to dance with. We try to keep our holidays as gender-balanced as possible.
Health & fitness: There are no particular health or fitness requirements for our dance holidays. Guests are responsible for ensuring that they are fit and well enough to participate in classes and social dancing. If you are unsure you must always speak to an instructor or member of staff before participating.

Flights and airport transfers are not included in our packages, we recommend checking the following airlines for the best deals: EasyJet, Ryanair, Jet2 and Wiz Air.
Crete has 2 main airports - Crete Heraklion also referred to as HEK is the closest, only a 30 - 40 minute drive to the hotel. Crete Chania is further away and will take between 2 - 2.5 hours drive to get to the hotel.
The hotel address is: Kalimera Kriti Hotel, Sisi 724 00, Crete, Greece
We recommend you pre-book transfers with Suntransfers.com or Hoppa.com.
Taxis are generally easy to get from Heraklion Airport as the official taxi rank is located just outside the Arrivals Hall, and taxis are readily available 24/7.
What should I pack?
Be sure to pack your salsa shoes, for ladies we recommend that you bring flat shoes or dance trainers too. Comfortable clothing for the workshops is also recommended. Social dancing in the evenings and club nights will be very similar to your local socials so bring some dressy outfits. Keep an eye out for details on our themed charity night.
Evenings in October can get a little chilly so be sure to bring a cardigan or light jacket.
